a movie with a story like snow white and the seven dwarf?

ok, so i was in high school (cant remember what year, around 1996-200) and we had this film showing..i cant remember the title but the storyline was like that of snow white and the seven dwarf.. i remember the girl (the ’snow white’) looks much like christina ricci.. the ‘prince’ has dark hair wearing a red jacket and dark brown trousers.. when the girl have eaten the apple and fell asleep, the dwarves place her in the forest inside a coffin made of glass.. the prince saw her, opened the glass and kissed her.. the girl then choked and coughed out that piece of poisoned apple..

the was a tv movie in 2001 called snow white starring Kristin Kreuk as Snow White maybe thats what you are thinking of.
